Hockey On the courts

Today we had Peter from Canterbury Hockey visit us. In hokey we were learning about stopping the ball, dribbling, dodging, and some other stuff.

First we did dribbling, we had to imagine that the ball was stuck to the end of the stick with super glue.
After that we learnt to stop and dodge other players we had to control the ball at all times.

Lastly we played a game like "Rob The Nest". But with hockey sticks. We got numbered into 4 teams and their was a hoop in the middle that had lots of hockey ball in it. We got given a number and if your number got called you would run to the middle hoop and get 1 ball with your hockey stick. When the hoop with the hockey balls in it was empty you could steal from other peoples hoops. The team with the most balls in their hoop wins. My team won with 8 balls.
The most challenging part was trying to keep the ball on the end of your stick.

The easiest part was just running forward with the ball.
