Activity 3 Own Choice
We had to choose a person that changed the world.
I chose Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr, was a civil rights speaker. In 1963 Martin made a speech called " I Have A Dream" He was speaking about "Black peoples rights". Up until 1963 "Black people" were used as slaves and they could not do the same stuff "White people" could do. They had separate schools, and they could not be together for anything.
He impacted the lives of everybody now "Black people" can do anything that "White people" can do.
Unfortunately Martin Luther King Jr got assassinated on the 4 April 1963.
This is the Google drawing that I made of Martin Luther King Jr.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

The google drawing is a drawing in moment for me Dylan. Because this was original it stands out. Martin Luther King lived in Atlanta Georgia. On a visit there I had the privilege of going to his house. The work was not easy and there was a lot of resistance and violence towards people seeking equal rights. Good luck with your summer learning Journey.
