Identity

This week for Literacy we have been learning about Identity we had to read 2 books about identity.
We also had to do a drawing about identity, this is mine!

The Portal

This week for writing we have been writing in buddy's. My buddy was Aliyah. Our story is about a portal. It was hard because we couldn't talk we had to use comments.

Intro

One bright and sunny day Aliyah and Dylan were playing in the forest, But then a mysterious portal appeared out of nowhere. With a look of caution on their faces they slowly walked up to it to examine it. It was like a galaxy, so beautiful but it felt unnatural but in a spur of a moment it started sucking things in, taking Aliyah and Dylan with it. . .

Middle

They appeared in a forest that looked really old and the trees were rotten, They walked along the path that was covered in leaves and then Aliyah said “ wow this is creepy “.Then Aliyah pointed at a bridge, it had a creature that look like a frog mixed with a (cat frog) out the front looking very angry. He pulled a pointy stick out of his bag and pointed it at  Dylan, “WHAT DO YOU WANT” the creature shouted, Dylan said “We appeared in this world and we have to get out” he nodded and said “You have to complete this riddle to get past the bridge” he gave Dylan a piece of paper and it said “It comes once in a minute twice in a moment but never in one thousand years”. Dylan and Aliyah looked at each other with a puzzled look and Aliyah said “I’ve Got it!” and she walked up to the creature and whispered “the letter M”  and the creature nodded and said “well done you may pass”. He opened the gate and said “Bye Bye” Dylan and Aliyah waved and walked through.

Suddenly they felt a shiver down their spines and their eyes lit up rainbow and they hovered in the air  then they landed back on the ground but something felt different... They looked at eachother and screamed “AHHH”.They looked so different Dylan was was wearing a blue superhero outfit and could shoot Ice out his hands Aliyah was wearing a purple dress and could shoot lightning they both were wearing masks one blue one purple.

End

They kept walking until they found an old railroad with a dragon guarding it. Behind the Dragon they saw a crystal shard it was glowing rainbow, it was the unicorn shard. They tried to attack the dragon but it didn’t work they couldn’t figure out why . Until they realised they had to work together Aliyah said” i’ll shoot a lightning bolt” and Dylan said “I’ll shoot ice”. Aliyah shot lightning and Dylan shot ice It hit the dragon and “BANG” the dragon fell dead Aliyah said  “with the power of teamwork we can do anything“ then Dylan said “ your so cheesy” and so they jumped on top of the dragon and did the floss to celebrate. After they finished flossing they ran over to th e unicorn shard, grabbed it, held it up and they yelled “TAKE US BACK” and they teleported back to their world .“That was fun!” said Aliyah they ran inside to their parents and told them all about it but they didn’t believe them, Aliyah and Dylan never played in that forest again…

Today for maths we are doing Oink and Cluck there are pigs and chickens on the road and there are 36 legs how many chickens and how many pigs there is more than one answer.
For this you had to know your 4 and 2 times tables I struggled with the 4 but the 2 was easy.

Direction and Position

In Strand Maths today we are learning about Direction and Position. We had to do and activity when you have a photo and you have to answer the questions. I found remembering the directions hard but when I remembered the directions they were easy. Here is mine. 

What I know about decimals

Next thing I want to learn is dividing decimals and multiplying.

How to create a Fortune Teller

How to create a Fortune Teller.

Goal: To make a Fortune                                            What do you need?

Teller to play with friends.                                            A Square piece of paper, coloring pencils,

                                                                                    Pencil.

Step 1 Fold the paper from top to bottom. Then unfold , then fold from side to side.

Step 2 Fold from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. Then unfold and fold the top left corner to the bottom right corner.

Step 3 Unfold and fold each corner to the middle. Flip it over and fold each corner to the middle again.

Step 4 Fold you paper into the shape of a rectangle and then into a square.

Step 5 Make your paper a rectangle again and stick your fingers into the holes, fold it into the shape of a triangle.

Two digit targets

For maths today my group the yellows have been doing some independent games. The game I did was Two digit targets. When you play the game you get numbers from 0 to 9 you can only use each number once. You have to do things like what is the largest odd number you can make and stuff like that this is what I did I don't know if its right so please tell me in the comments.
