Today in Wananga we have started a Kete called STEAM. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. It's called Hornby 2050 and we have to think of a problem that we could fix to benefit the planet and make Hornby 2050 a good place. The problem that I thought of was Global Warming making Ocean levels rise. I was thinking that you could use the seaweed and kelp you find on beaches to make some sort of biofuel to power cars. Or, you could filter the seawater a bunch of times to make it drinkable and send it away to different countries so you can water crops with it and drink it.Z
This is the slide I made for my problem(s).
Great job Dylan. I love your idea regarding seawater.
ReplyDeleteFresh water will always be an issue. Your thoughts about turning sea-water into fresh water is a great idea, Dylan. Now it's just getting the world leaders and top scientists on board.
ReplyDeleteThat last comment was from me. Sorry didn't put my name to it. :)
