Today in English with Whaea Raewyn we were learning about Mount Erebus in Antarctica. We had a few tasks and questions to do with it so here are the questions.
What makes Mount Erebus so special?
It's a really big Active Volcano on the edge of Antarctica that is surrounded by strange formations including Ice caves, Frozen Collums of Steam, and hundreds of giant black rocks sprouting up from the ice. There are people that stay right next to it and study it during the year at a place called the Mount Erebus Observatory near the summit.
Now that is interesting, Dylan. I did not know that Mt Erebus was active. The Scientists would need really warm clothing and gear to stay there.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting to read. I always thought it was just a mountain.
