Acids and Bases

 Today in Science we were learning about Acids and Bases. We had to watch 2 videos and then answer a bunch of questions about acid and things to do with acid. Here are the questions.

1. What makes something acidic? a substance that contains 0-6 molecules of Hydrogen.

2. What are 3 examples of acids? Citric acid, Acetic acid, and Gastric acid.

3. What are some natural acids? Lactic Acid and Oxalic Acid

4. What is the PH scale? The pH scale is something used to measure how acidic/basic water is.

5. What does PH stand for? Potential (Power) Hydrogen

6. P stands for? Potential (Power)

7. H stands for? Hydrogen

8. What is the most famous indicator? Red cabbage leaves

9. How many numbers are there on the PH scale? 0-14

10. What are the numbers for an acid? 0-6

11. What numbers are for a base/alkaline? 7-14

12. What flavour are acids. Acids are usually very sour or Bitter.
